I was 13 when I ascended the twin towers. I was 17 when they came crashing down.

The events of September 11th were a seismic shock on a scale the world had never witnessed before.

Visiting the 9/11 museum 25 years later, I was moved by the scales of the destruction, despair and pain that was caused that day. The scale of the towers, the scale of the loss of life, the rippling out of aftershocks across the globe that are still being felt today. Within these titanic scales are nested smaller, microscopic scales – the pain of an absent father, wife or child, the birthdays, anniversaries and weddings that never will be, the invisible, microscopic dust that mimics the debris field, and continues to take lives, a quarter of a century later.
